Overall Research Goals

This laboratory studies the role of the parietal cortex in the processing of visual spatial information, and how such information is used to direct eye and arm movements. More generally, how is sensory spatial information transformed into commands for movement? And, given a system in which this occurs, how can we analyze that transformation?
Furthermore, we study how intentions (that is, the things you want to do) guide the processes of information processing in the parietal cortex.
