We woke up on the third morning to another cloudy day and the water covered in fog. But wait--what's that out in the distance?
In fact, it was an old shipping boat that had run aground. Our ship passed right by in in the narrow channel.
The channels were often very narrow. Almost all of the landscape we saw was completely untouched by human civilization.
We were treated to a tour of the engine room below decks (sorry no pictures). When we emerged, the clouds were starting to break and the boat was surrounded by tiny icebergs claved from nearby glaciers.
We were woken up on the fourth and final day on the boat to an announcement that we would soon be entering "White's Pass", the narrowest channel of the journey. We we stepped out on deck, we were greeted with this impressive view.
Behold, "Paso White". Don't worry, there are more pictures in store! We haven't even scratched the surface of the amazing beauty of the Patagonian Andes yet! Stay tuned...
